Our Strategy

Education at the Kingdom Foundation is about equity, empowerment and inspiring students to thrive. We place racial equity at the center of everything that we do. This challenges us to ensure our students are engaged in classroom instruction and have access to the educational resources needed to enhance their learning experiences. We will ensure that our partner schools are a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for all. We set clear division-wide priorities and programs to address opportunity and achievement gaps as well as make sure that all students graduate ready for college, careers and life. Our vision is big and bold, and the potential is enormous.

The Kingdom's goal is to provide high quality, affordable healthcare services to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve.

The Kingdom centers around three central goals: to increase housing supply, advance racial equity and build resilience and upward mobility. To achieve these goals, we operate across three divisions that unify and leverage a family of purpose-built affiliates to execute our work. We operate nationwide with programmatic, policy, advisory and capacity-building arms at the national, state and local level, working in more than 700 communities and in collaboration with thousands of partners in the nonprofit, public and for-profit sectors.

Our Workforce Development initiatives, from the societal centric perspective, educates and trains individuals to meet the needs of current and future business and industry in order to maintain a sustainable competitive economic environment. 

The field of Human Services is broadly defined, uniquely approaching the objective of meeting human needs through an interdisciplinary knowledge base, focusing on prevention as well as remediation of problems, and maintaining a commitment to improving the overall quality of life of service populations. The Human Services profession is one which promotes improved service delivery systems by addressing not only the quality of direct services, but also by seeking to improve accessibility, accountability, and coordination among professionals and agencies in service delivery. 

For us, civic vitality describes our professional goal for cities as an ongoing condition of progress and improvement, while avoiding silver-bullet syndrome. A healthy life comes from a confluence of many mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual factors operating continually. One week of diet and exercise won’t fix years of rough living. One good conversation won’t fix years of trauma. We’ve built cities poorly for decades; one round of visioning and public input with a few tactical urbanism projects won’t fix our issues. That’s a healthy start, but it won’t change much if it ends there.

Our Sustainable Development goals are consistent with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, which provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
