Education

The Kingdom's education strategy is founded on the belief that every child should have access to a high-­quality education, including a post-­secondary experience that leads to modern living wage employment and careers. This requires increasing high school graduation rates and scores, in­ particular for low-­income students of color; improving readiness among those who graduate from high school but are not well ­prepared for post-secondary education; ensuring greater access to a range of post-secondary options for underserved and poorly matched student groups; and improving post­-secondary persistence rates among diverse student populations once they are enrolled.  The Kingdom funds institutions, organizations and programs that demonstrably improve post­-secondary preparedness and persistence outcomes for student populations with persistent achievement gaps; and that demonstrably improve systems comprising student pathways from high school to post­-secondary experiences and on to employment.
